Join us for a screening of Ballyman, a short film written by Artist Associate Faruq Adigun, co-created with SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS and VIDEOfeet.

About the film

Ballyman follows Deji, a young Black man from South East London, as he navigates the city cloaked in his balaclava. As his mental state deteriorates, a new path of self-discovery begins to unfold, one that’s as isolating as it is enlightening.

With music from Rezon8 artists and group conversation about Black men's mental health.

Thursday 22 May, 6 - 8pm

Peckham Levels, 95a Rye Lane, SE15 4ST

Tickets are Pay What You Can starting from as little as £1. Click below to book👇🏿

ARTiST HIGHLIGHT

Every month we shout out artists we have worked with, from SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS associates to frequent collaborators and local artists.

This month we are shining the light on Cecilia Alfonso-Eaton and Tasneim Zyada who co-facilitated the 2024 (Un)Censored. creative campaign team, using creativity to initiate change for young women in Lewisham.

Cecilia Alfonso-Eaton

Cecilia is an actor, facilitator and writer of Mixed Cuban and British heritage from South London. She is also co-founder of campaign Latinxcluded which fights for the visibility and representation of the Latin American community in the UK. She likes to create work that is political and that explores her heritage as well as anything that involves music and dance! Cecilia co-facilitated alongside Tasneim workshops with SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS last year working on the (Un)Censored. campaign.
