MEET THE TEAM

Rose Alexander

Director

Rose is a community organiser, optimistic about change and the power of people in partnership. A local Deptford resident, she started volunteering for Sounds Like Chaos in 2016 and continues to be inspired and excited by the company and its Associates almost a decade later! When not at SLC, Rose works for Camden Council in the Participation & Partnerships team and is on the board for Camden Giving.

Christine Bramwell

Community Producer

Christine is an interdisciplinary artist who finds joy in discovering the correlations between ecology, the body and sound. She has trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in Performance Art. Christine is a co- director of Soundcamp and a member of No Borders in Climate Justice.

Jade de Sylva

Marketing & Digital Producer

Jade is an arts marketer and community organiser whose goals are to highlight local and upcoming talent. Having worked for many South London-based organisations including the Albany, BALAMII, Battersea Arts Centre and Brixton House, she has used the knowledge to start her own initiate, LISTEN+LEARN, removing financial barriers to DJing and vinyl culture with workshops, peer-led research and social campaigns.

Roisin Feeny

Artistic Director

Roisin has produced, written and directed over 20 shows and experiences including national tours, performances at The Barbican, Battersea Arts Centre, The Traverse, Edinburgh and HOME, Manchester. She is an expert in producing complex participatory arts projects; she was a Senior Producer at Battersea Arts Centre where she established and led The Agency, a creative entrepreneur programme for young people to set up their own social initiatives. The Agency now runs across the UK.

Sarah Tarry

Associate Director

Sarah is a creative producer specialising in supporting emerging artists, youth led projects and events/festival programming. She has worked across art forms but started her career in theatre and participation and have previously worked at organisations such as Southbank Centre, Almeida Theatre, Unlimited and Touretteshero. Sarah has admired SLC's work for years and says it is a real privilege to be working with such a creative group of artists.

ARTiST HIGHLIGHT

Every month we shout out an Artist and showcase their work. This month we are celebrating Rachel Varma, an Artist and member of the (Un)Censored. 2024 Women's Creative Campaign Team.

"I am Rachel Varma, an 18 year old Photographer from South East London with a passion for storytelling and capturing the raw and profound moments within our human condition, the moments that people tend to overlook or pass by without reflection. Through my Art I aim to show the raw beauty within different realities, highlight injustice and bring about change and contemplation. I hope my Art breeds a desire to dig deeper than what meets the eye."

To see more of Rachel's work, head to her Instagram or get in touch by emailing her at rachelvarma126@gmail.com.
